Volume a moduli sfasati belongs to a series of works created by Dadamaino (Milan, 1930–2004) during the early Sixties. The series is set into his research on Programmed Art, a movement based on studying the infinite perception possibilities inside an artwork’s programmed grid. Stacking two plastic sheets, die-cut by the artist’s controlled and repeated gestures, creates a barely noticeable offset made of minuscule circles, highlighting the invisible dialogue between light and space and emphasizing the void’s role when placed among the different pierced plastic layers.
